FAQ's

Can anybody attend?

Absolutely. Lessons are open to all ages and experience levels — complete beginners to advanced players. If there’s anything specific you’d like us to know before your first lesson, just mention it when booking.

What is a free trial lesson like?

Your trial is a relaxed, get-to-know-you session.
You’ll meet Kai, chat about your goals, try your instrument, and get a feel for the studio.
There’s zero pressure — just a friendly introduction to see if lessons are right for you.

Can I try lessons for a little while?

Yes. You’re never stuck in a term contract.
If you want to explore an instrument for a short period or take a break later, that’s totally fine.

How do I stop lessons if needed?

Just send an email or message before your next scheduled payment and we’ll cancel the upcoming month for you. No cancellation fees or awkward conversations.

What if I’m a complete beginner?

Perfect — beginners are some of our favourite students to teach.
You don’t need experience, equipment, or confidence. If you’re curious, that’s enough.

What if I already play and want to improve?

We teach advanced technique, theory, performance skills, HSC prep, songwriting, and detailed instrumental development. Lessons scale to your personal goals.

Do I need my own instrument?

If you have one, great. If not:

  • Guitar: We can help you choose one that fits your budget.

  • Drums: Acoustic kits, electronic kits, and practice pads are all fine for home.

  • Piano/Keys: Any weighted digital keyboard works well to start.
You do NOT need to buy anything before your trial.

Do you teach children?

Yes — kids, teens, and adults are all welcome.
Kai adapts lessons to suit age, attention span, and learning style.

Where is the studio located?

Whale Beach Studio is set right near the water in Whale Beach, NSW.
Parking and bus access are both close by.
(Use your custom contact copy here once finalised.)

Do I need to practise between lessons?

A little goes a long way. Even 10 minutes a day is enough to see great progress.

What do I bring to my first lesson?

Just yourself. If you have your instrument, bring it.
Everything else — notebooks, cables, spare picks, sticks — is provided.
